The FrameMaker-DITA group started as a team of developers and reviewers, working together to design a DITA EDD. The initial goal was to produce a DITA EDD that could be freely distributed and provide other FrameMaker users with a starting point in implementing DITA.
With the release of FrameMaker 7.2, all 7.2 users have a DITA application available within the installation. The application files are generic and many companies may decide to edit the installed settings. This group provides a resource for these users as well, as they modify what Adobe has provided.
The group was started in April 2004 and is moderated by Kay Ethier. It is a private effort by a team of individuals and is not a corporate project. All individual efforts (development and review) are voluntary. If you would like to provide assistance, contact the group moderator.
To avoid "too many cooks" syndrome the group membership was initially kept small to allow development to move forward at a rapid pace. By reviewing the early group emails you can see who was participating at that point. As of the release of FrameMaker 7.2, the group is a large, interacting community of hundreds (780 as of January 2007).
Emails not on point may be declined by the moderator. Information posted herein is not copyrighted to the group but to the original poster.
