You can use averages or estimates to create a dependencies worksheet.
Before you generate a new dependencies worksheet, research your organization's average hours per page for similar documents. You can base this average on past project hisotries, industry averages, or an educated guess.
PUB$ sets up your dependencies worksheet with an average ranking of 3 for each dependency. After PUB$ returns control to you, you may want to change the rankings to reflect your specific circumstances.
-
Select a cell in the dependency row you want to change.
After setting up the dependencies worksheet, PUB$ selects a cell in the first dependency row. If you don't want to change this dependency ranking, select a cell in another dependency row.
-
While holding down the Control key, type the appropriate ranking (1 to 5).<
The cell that corresponds to your entry is shaded.
Note: The Control key works only with the number keys at the top of your keyboard. Use those numbers to change depenedency rankings. If you use the keypad on the right side of your keyboard, you delete information in the selected cell.
After you change the dependency ranking, PUB$ multiplies your average hours per page by each multiple to calculate a new hours per page projection. PUB$ then selects a cell in the next dependency row and returns control to you
